鶹provides families with a wide array of choices to ensure every student can attend their best-fit school. The district currently offers 70+ Transformation and Innovation schools, which are identified through OTI's competitive Public School Choice application process. All schools selected through this process are designed around an innovative anchor model, such as Performing and Visual Arts, Montessori, Personalized Learning, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

    What are Transformation Schools?

Transformation Schools are brand-new 鶹schools. They offer specialized academic programming, similar to Magnet schools, but they do not have academic entry requirements. These schools do not have attendance boundaries; any student can apply to attend a Transformation School no matter where they live. Students are selected for enrollment through a randomized lottery, and transportation is provided for students living within District boundaries.

     What are Innovation Schools?

Innovation Schools are 鶹neighborhood campuses that have received extra resources to redesign their school around an innovative anchor model, such as Performing and Visual Arts, Montessori, Personalized Learning, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Innovation Schools keep their current attendance boundaries. Students who do not live within the attendance boundary of an Innovation School may apply for a transfer.
