When and how do I watch convocation?
Ask your supervisor or principal where your team is viewing convocation. The link to the livestream will be available at www.dallasisd.org/convocation. A countdown video will air 30 minutes before the official start time so schools and departments that want to watch as a group have time to set up and test the video streaming.
-
I need assistance setting up my livestream. Who do I contact?
If you have any problems setting up for a group to watch or can’t access the livestream, you can contact the Help Desk at (972) 925-5630 so a Help Desk agent will enter a ticket on your behalf and deploy an available technician assigned to your location. Remember, a set up video will be provided 30 minutes before the livestream begins.

Remember that if you are a campus-based central employee, your items were delivered to your department. Check with your supervisor before filling out the form.
-
Will food be provided?
Food will not be provided for convocation, but campuses and departments can take the opportunity to plan welcome-back events or meetings around the virtual event.
-
Can I view the virtual event at a later time?
Although we want everyone to join for the celebration at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, those who miss the event or want to watch it at a different time in conjunction with a school or department event will have access to a recording after the livestream.

Do you have ideas for hosting a virtual event?
Here are some ideas to make your team video viewing session centered around the theme of Make it Happen.
Themed Refreshments — Create a "Make it Happen" refreshment table with energizing snacks such as protein bars, fresh fruits, veggies with dip, and smoothies.
Snack Station — Set up a DIY popcorn station where team members can customize their own snack bags with various add-ins like nuts, dried fruit, and candy.
Energy Booster Table — Provide snacks known for their energy-boosting properties like almonds, dark chocolate, and green tea. This can help keep everyone alert and engaged.
Make it Happen Vision Board — Create space for team members to write their goals for the upcoming school year. Discuss how you can help make their vision a reality.
Make it Happen Buttons/Badges Station — Create buttons or badges with inspiring messages that team members can wear or display.
You Make It Happen Handwritten Notes — Adopt another campus or department and write personalized notes of encouragement and appreciation, emphasizing the "Make it Happen" message. Send them off to encourage another team as we kick off a new school year!
