• Teachers go the extra mile for their students

When it comes to transforming student lives, Shari Harrington and Grace Barber, teachers at the School of Health Professions at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center, are the embodiment of Core 4. When last September one of their colleagues had to go on extended medical leave, they both stepped in to teach her classes—medical microbiology, medical lab and medical terminology—so those students could get the same experiences in the important foundational courses as other students.

Core 4 is the tenets by which all 鶹employees strive to meet the needs of our students, their families and one another.

Each tenet is at the "core" of everything we do and anchored in our district focus of Racial Equity and Cultural Responsiveness, Comprehensive Accountability, Responsible use of Resources, and Collaboration.

Click on each tenet to discover more of how keeping them at the forefront of everything we do aids in our continued focus of being not only a premier district in Texas, but in the nation.
