    What is Accelerated Learning?

    House Bill 1416 (previously HB 4545) establishes new requirements for schools implementing accelerated instruction for students who did not pass STAAR.

    Instruction must occur during the 2023-2024 school year or 2023 summer session.

    What does the Office of Tutoring Services do?

    In an effort to exceed the specifications of HB 1416, our office connects and matches the needs of campuses with tutoring providers, furnish high quality curriculum, and hires vetted and trained tutors.  

    We also provide consistent notices and communication on all district Accelerated Learning updates.
