On the 24th March, and for the second year running, an event was hosted at Erdington Academy for Year 11 students to try on and take home a donated outfit for their upcoming Prom.
This year, approximately fifty beautiful dresses were donated by members of staff from The Belfry Hotel and Resort as part of a partnership with The Hospitality Project.听 Further outfits were also donated by a charity and the public, which was arranged by Nichaila Kansara – Parent Associate. 听
Sixty-two students attended in total, and almost all left with an outfit. Parents who attended the event helped the students choose and try on the dresses/suits and left great feedback, noting how helpful it was, especially as buying a dress/suit can be expensive.
听Nicki said: 鈥淲e have many outfits leftover which we will hold onto until next year when we will hold the same event again for the next Y11鈥檚鈥�.听She also added:听鈥淚 would like to personally thank the staff that gave up their free time on the day to assist at the event and make it a huge success鈥�
